These Dior Thigh High's...
Quite simply put, they are beautiful! When I visited Fashion Foie Gras last night, I just had to sit back and just enjoy the sheer beauty of them. I think the editorial with Emily Blunt showcase them so much better than the ad, don't you think?
These Kurt Geiger nude beauties.
Hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend!

{Friday Five} Places I'd Like to Visit
1- London, England
I can remember precisely the moment I was overcome with desire to visit London. I was spending a 6 weeks of my summer vacation at my favorite uncle's house in Florida and it was extremely hot outside. I remember sitting in front of the television the week leading up to Princess Diana & Prince Charles' wedding and watching the morning news channel show a week long feature of places of interest to visit in London. I was in awe. Such beautiful old buildings! And how strange...they drive on the "wrong" side of the road. Summer of 1981 commenced my love affair with London. It has always been on top of the places I'd love to visit. Hopefully, we will be fulfilling that desire next summer, if all works out as planned!
2- Paris, France
This is another place I've wanted to visit since I was a wee little girl. How, you may ask? This one tell tale line will tell you how:
"In an old house in Paris that was covered in vines, lived twelve little girls in two straight lines ...".
I was an early reader, and Ludwig Bemelmans books were the very first ones I was introduced to by the librarian at our local library. I remember clearly reading the book to my mother and wanting her to take me back to get some more! Years later, Paris, France, was the topic of my 4th grade Social Studies report. The Eiffel Tower was not the only thing that enthralled me, but also The Louvre, Notre Dame and the countless cafes, and delectable food and shopping....who can forget SHOPPING!
3- Rome, Italy
It's been said, you have not tasted pizza till you have had an authentic one in Italy. Not only am I a huge fan of Italian food, but I am a sucker for places filled with architectural details and rich in history. The Colosseum, the countless piazzas and fountains, and who can forget The Sistine Chapel.
4- Maui, Hawaii
Just look at this photo....this is paradise. A little piece of heaven, on Earth. Need I say more?
5- Barcelona, Spain
Growing up I remember my paternal grandmother (who I was very attached to) telling me stories about her parents. Her father grew up in a town not far from Barcelona. When she was a little girl, he would tell her stories of what it was like to grow up in Spain. She never did get to visit the place of her father's birth. I would one day like to envision the stories he told her, and she retold to me, with my own eyes. Hopefully, while I'm there, I can attempt to trace back more of my family tree.
I love reading your comments. What are 5 places you would love to visit? Have a great weekend!

Sweet Deals & Lovely Day
Here is my sweet deal of the day! Bought myself 5 cami's in an array of colors for $10! Yes, ten dollars for 5 cami's! Old Navy is hosting a $2 Cami sale starting today 7/29 through Saturday 7/31 in stores only. Get layering camis regularly priced at $8.50 for only $2 when you present this coupon or say "Cami 4 me" (which is what I did) to the cashier.
I spent a lovely Thursday morning at the movies with Mr. Man. We saw the movie "SALT" starring Angelina Jolie and Liev Schrieber. My thoughts? A definite must see. Angelina Jolie is at her action star best in this movie. The story has it's twist and turns but keeps you enthralled from start to finish. After the movie, we visited our favorite Japanese restaurant for some sushi. I swear, if I could only eat one type of food everyday for the rest of my life, it would be Japanese food...especially sushi.
If that weren't enough to constitute a lovely day, I had 3 hours all to myself after I dropped off Lil Miss at her weekday activity. What did I do? There is only one answer....shop! After driving around and exploring the surrounding vicinity Monday and Tuesday I discovered there were some very nice shopping malls. The one discovery that made my day...an Anthropologie store! I was in heaven. I didn't buy anything since I was on a strict budget. Today's shopping expedition was strictly for gifts for close friends children we are going to see this weekend.
Bargain Shoppers heads up! Gap has an additional 40% off markdowns on adult and kids (baby excluded) clearance items. Janie and Jack has sweet items on their clearance rack with an additional 30% off at the register. J Crew & CrewCuts has select clearance items at an additional savings of 30% as well. And anyone in the market for book bags....Staples has an offer you can't pass up. You purchase any book bag between now and Saturday, you will get a rebate for the full amount in the form of a Staples gift card.
Happy Thursday!

Wednesday Words of Wisdom
Promise yourself to be so strong that nothing
can disturb your peace of mind.
Look at the sunny side of everything & make your
optimism come true.
Think only of the best, work only for the best & expect only the best.
Forget the mistakes of the past & press on to the
greater achievements of the future.
Give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others.
Live in the faith that the whole world is on your side as long as you are true to the best that is in you!

Lazy Monday
There is no better way to spend a lazy Monday afternoon than sitting with my laptop at a Starbucks cafe catching up on all my favorite blogs.
My weekend was really busy but enjoyable for the most part. My brother and his family came down for a 3 day visit. I was able to spend quality time with my beautiful niece. It never fails, I am always rendered speechless to observe how quickly children grow! Is she really 18 months already? We all spent the better part of the day at the beach on Sunday enjoying the hot weather, sand and amazing waves. I was so exhausted by the fun in the sun, I promptly fell asleep by 8pm!
This morning, we all ate breakfast together and said goodbye to my brother and his family and thanked them for their visit. They enjoyed the beach so much, they are planning to come back up again in August. With the house back in order after entertaining family for the weekend, it is back to the usual.
Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Have a wonderful week!
